I don’t think that this should stop here, someone ought to take it to the Supreme Court as a Public Interest Litigation. Nowhere else does one see tarred road getting wiped off after a shower!
Simple things can make this effective:
a) Put the names, phone #’s and the address of the corporater, contractor, BMP officials who supervised the road laying on a side of the road and also publish it on website.
b) Make the above trio of Corporators, Contractors and the Officials responsible for the warranty of the work performed. Stricter punitive measures should hopefully set things right.
Meanwhile, the whole demolition drama in Koramangala has gone off tangent – corruption, simplistic judgements and obsolete building bye-laws all contributing to the mess.
I don’t think there is a simple way out and the more I think, the more I am convinced that there is no way out of mess. Corruption has become a way of life and will continue to remain so irrespective of whichever Govt comes in power.
